Jamaican Black Cake is a fruit based cake made with spices, dried fruits and often times, rum or wine. This cake is baked low and slow for a pudding like texture. It is soft and moist for a melt in your mouth texture.

Rum Cake Ingredients: Enriched Wheat Flour, Eggs, Butter, Brown Sugar, Red Label Wine, Dried Raisins, Overproof Rum, Port Wine, Dried Pitted Prunes, Dried Cranberries, Dried Currant, Molasses, Browning, Lime Juice, Baking Powder, Pure Vanilla, Cinnamon, Mixed Spice, Salt, Nutmeg, Rose Water, Pure Almond Extract.

 

You can keep this at room temperature for about 1 week. After that, store it in the freezer to keep it longer. Occasionally spray a bit of rum or wine on it to keep it moist.
