There is nothing better than enjoying mozzarella sticks at home besides finding out how incredibly easy they are to make. Each mozzarella stick is seasoned from start to finish and then fried until golden brown. These make the perfect appetizers or side dish for your favorite meals. Paired with marinara sauce, these cheesy goodness are better than any mozzarella sticks you would get from the store or restaurant.

Ingredients
400g Block of Mozzarella Cheese
¼cupFlour
½tspGarlic Powder
½tspOnion Powder
½tspPaprika
¾tspSalt
½cupItalian Style Bread Crumbs
2Large Eggs
Oil for frying
Instructions
Cut a block of mozzarella into 12 sticks that are 1/2" thick and set aside.
In one bowl, add your flour, 1/2 tsp salt, garlic powder, onion powder and paprika.
In a second bowl, crack and whisk 2 eggs.
In a third bowl, mix the bread crumbs and 1/4 tsp salt.
Coat each of your mozzarella sticks in your flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, shaking of any excess, then into the bread crumbs.
Do a second coating by dipping the sticks back in the egg and then in the bread crumbs.
Repeat the steps for the remaining mozzarella sticks.
Add your sticks to a freezer-safe container and freeze for minimum 2 hours.
Preheat your oil to 365°F using a thermometer . Without over crowding your pot, fry your mozzarella sticks for 1-2 minutes. I fried it in two batches.
Briefly drain on paper towels and serve immediately with marinara sauce.
Notes
You might be able to use a 300g block of cheese. I used a 400g block and had some left over. If your block of cheese is thick, just cut it in half before cutting your 12 1/2" mozzarella sticks.
