HOMEMADE PIZZA RECIPE

This homemade pizza recipe is delicious, easy to make and only uses simple ingredients that you would find in your pantry.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1 ¼ tsp Instant Yeast
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Olive Oil- Optional
  • ¾ cup Lukewarm Water (110°F)
  • ½ cup Pizza Sauce
  • 1 ¼ cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese (250g)

Instructions

  • Add all your dry ingredients to a bowl.
  • Add your yeast to your water and let sit for 10 to 15 minutes. You can also opt to just add the yeast directly into the rest of the dry mixture.
  • Add in your olive oil. This step is optional but using olive oil results in a softer crust.
  • Knead all your ingredients together to form a dough.
  • Add a little olive oil to your bowl to minimize sticking.
  • Cover your dough and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  • On a clean surface or mat, sprinkle a little flour and knead your dough for 10 minutes.
  • Flatten your dough by hand or a rolling pin into your desired shape.
  • Add 1/2 cup of pizza sauce in the center of your dough and spread it out about 1inch from the edge.
  • Top with 250g of freshly grated mozzarella cheese and your favorite toppings.
  • Bake at 450°F for 15 minutes. Ensure that you have preheated your oven for at least 20 minutes before baking.
  • Cool for 10 minutes before cutting.
