Ingredients
2cupsFlour (125g)250g
1cupYellow Corn Flour
½cupBrown Sugar 80g
1 tbspBaking Powder
1tspSalt
1tbspSoftened Butter
¼cupMilk62ml
½cupWater 125ml
Instructions
Add in your dry ingredients and whisk to combine.
Add in the softened butter and use your fingers to mix it in the flour mixture.
Add in your wet ingredients and knead your dough.
Cover and rest for 30 minutes to one hour.
Divide your dough into 12 balls.
Roll each ball lengthwise.
Heat 2 cups of oil on medium heat until the temperature is between 350°F and 365°F.
Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until it reaches a golden brown colour.
Notes
If you do not have yellow corn flour, you can substitute with 1/2 cup fine grain cornmeal. Corn flour is preferably as it is not as gritty as cornmeal.
