In a bowl, add all your dry ingredients and mix well.
Next, add in your wet ingredients and mix well.
Add oil to a pot, enough so that the batter has room to float, and heat until the oil reaches 375°F. If you don’t have a thermometer, you can use the end of a wooden spoon, stick it in the oil and it will be ready when bubbles form around the spoon.
Pour your batter in a funnel with a ½” opening, ensuring to cover the opening with your finger.
Once the oil is hot, remove your finger and drizzle the batter in the oil in a swirling motion, overlapping it.
Cook for about 2 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
Drain on paper towels and then cover with powdered sugar and serve with ice cream and any other toppings.
