2. Next, add in your wet ingredients and mix well.

3. Add oil to a pot, enough so that the batter has room to float, and heat until the oil reaches 375°F. If you don’t have a thermometer, you can use the end of a wooden spoon, stick it in the oil and it will be ready when bubbles form around the spoon.

4. Pour your batter in a funnel with a ½” opening, ensuring to cover the opening with your finger.

5. Once the oil is hot, remove your finger and drizzle the batter in the oil in a swirling motion, overlapping it.

6. Cook for about 2 minutes on each side or until golden brown.

7. Drain on paper towels and then cover with powdered sugar and serve with ice cream and any other toppings.

HOW TO STORE IT

These are best enjoyed freshly made on the same day. However, you can choose to keep it in the fridge for up to 2 days and reheat it in the toaster or oven.

You can also make it in advanced and store the batter in the fridge for up to 2 days.
