Sift your dry ingredients and whisk to combine.
Add in the softened butter and use your fingers to mix it in the flour mixture.
Add in your wet ingredients and knead your dough.
Cover and rest for 30 minutes to one hour.
Divide your dough into 6 balls. You can sprinkle a little flour on the dough to make it easier to roll.
Roll each ball lengthwise.
Place the festivals on a greased wire rack over a baking sheet and grease both sides of the festival.
Preheat your oven to 425°F and bake for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and lower your temperature to 350°F. Grease both sides of the festival once more and place back in the oven for another 5 minutes.
Cool for at least ten minutes before enjoying.
