Add your water, pumpkin puree, brown sugar, white sugar and pumpkin spice to a medium saucepan.
Whisk until well combined and cook on medium-high heat until the sugar has dissolved.
Then, lower the heat and simmer until the syrup begins to thicken and coats your spoon. Approximately 5-10 minutes.
Remove from heat and add in your vanilla.
Once cooled, strain the mixture, or keep it as is and then store it in an airtight container.
