Description
Jamaican Black Cake is a fruit based cake made with spices, dried fruits and often times, rum or wine. This alcohol free version is made with rum extract and grape juice instead of rum and wine.
This cake is baked low and slow for a pudding like texture. It is soft and moist for a melt in your mouth texture.
Alcohol Free Fruit Cake Ingredients: Enriched Wheat Flour, Grape Juice, Eggs, Butter, Brown Sugar, Water, Dried Raisins, Dried Pitted Prunes, Dried Cranberries, Dried Currant, Molasses, Browning, Lime Juice, Rum Extract, Baking Powder, Pure Vanilla, Cinnamon, Mixed Spice, Salt, Nutmeg, Rose Water, Pure Almond Extract.
Storage: The alcohol free version needs to be stored in the fridge otherwise it will spoil. It will last for up to 1 week. Since it is stored in the fridge, it will lose a bit of its moisture. Each slice will need to be reheated in the microwave before enjoying or you can eat it cold if you prefer.
