INGREDIENTS NEEDED FOR APPLE FRITTERS

1. Flour

2. Brown Sugar

3. Cinnamon

4. White Sugar

5. Pure Vanilla

6. Salt

7. Apples

8. Oil

9. Egg

10. Milk

11. Lemon

12. Baking Powder

HOW TO MAKE APPLE FRITTERS

1. Wash, peel and dice 2 apples.

2. Add to a pot with 2 tbsp brown sugar, 1 tbsp white sugar, 1 tsp lemon, 1/8 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Cook for about 8-10 mins on med heat or until soften.

3. In a bowl, add 1 1/2 cup flour, 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp salt, 2 tsp baking powder, and 1/4 cup white sugar. Mix well.

4. Add in 1 large room temp egg, 3/4 cup room temp milk, 1/2 tsp vanilla, 1/4 tsp oil, and your cooked apples.

5. Add large spoonful’s of your batter to a pan with enough oil for frying. Fry on med heat for 2-3 mins, flip and then fry another 2 mins. Let cool on a baking rack for at least 10 mins.

6. For your glaze, mix 1/2 cup powdered sugar, 1 tbsp milk, and 1/2 tsp vanilla. 

7. Brush each fritter with the glaze and let set before enjoying.

STORAGE TIPS

It is best to have these fritters when they are freshly made. The apples will cause it to soften over time and completely change the texture. It will need to be stored in the fridge and consumed within 2-3 days.

HOW TO REHEAT THEM

Reheat these in the oven at 350F for 5-10 mins until they are warm on the inside and crisp on the outside.

Microwaving the fritters is not recommended as they will become softer.

COOKED APPLES

  • 2 Gala Apples
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar

BATTER

  • 1 ½ tsp Cinnamon
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • ¼ cup White Sugar
  • 1 ½ cup Flour
  • ¾ cup Milk
  • ½ tsp Vanilla
  • ¼ tsp Oil
  • 1 Large Room Temp Egg

GLAZE

  • ½ cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Milk
  • ½ tsp Vanilla
