INGREDIENTS NEEDED FOR CARMELITAS
1. Flour
2. Oats – You can use rolled oats or quick cooking oats.
3. Brown Sugar
4. Salt
5. Baking Soda
6. Cinnamon
7. Vanilla
8. Melted Butter
9. Caramel Squares
10. Heavy Cream
11. Dark Chocolate Chips
HOW TO MAKE CARMELITAS
1. Add the cream and caramel to a pot and cook on medium low for 10 mins or until the caramels have fully melted.
2. In a bowl, add in your flour, oats, brown sugar, salt, baking soda, cinnamon and mix well.
3. Pour in your melted butter and vanilla and mix until full combined.
4. Spread 3/4 of your mixture in a 8″ by 8″ baking pan. Bake at 350F for 10 mins.
5. Remove from the oven and pour the caramel on top of the mixture. Add in the chocolate chips before topping with the remaining oat mixture. Place the pan back in the oven and bake for another 15-18 mins.
HOW TO STORE IT
These will keep at room temperature for up to 7 days.
