Ranch Dressing is one of the most popular salad dressing that you will find as a staple condiment across many home kitchens and restaurants. Its creamy and tangy flavor made it perfect for elevating the flavors of salads, wraps and sandwiches when used as a dressing. Many people commonly use it as a dip for chicken wings, vegetables, chips, and even pizza. This ranch dressing recipe was especially delicious in my homemade burritos.

Like most people, I always bought my condiments from the store,. With ranch dressing, it was no exception. It never crossed my mind on how it was made. I would simply buy it. I randomly came across someone making ranch dressing on social media and I was surprised that I could make it at home with regular everyday ingredients. Now whenever I need it, I can just whip up a batch and now you can too!

INGREDIENTS NEEDED FOR RANCH DRESSING

1. Mayo

2. Sour Cream

3. Milk

4. Salt

5. Lemon

6. Garlic Powder

7. Onion Powder

8. Dried Chives

9. Dried Parsley

10. Black Pepper

11. Dried Dill

If you have any fresh herbs on hand, use it for maximum flavor. I rarely have fresh herbs on hand because most times I do not use them quick enough before they go to waste. I prefer dried herbs for more convenience.

HOW TO MAKE RANCH DRESSING

1. Combine your milk and lemon juice and let sit for 10 minutes.

2. Add in your remaining ingredients and whisk well.

3. You can serve your dressing immediately or chill for a couple of hours for the best flavor.

DO I NEED MAYO FOR RANCH DRESSING?

Most popular ranch dressings are made with mayo, but you can swap it out if you are not a fan of mayo. A couple of suitable alternatives are Greek yogurt and sour cream. You can use either of the two as your base or equal parts of each. I haven’t tried either of these on their own, so I cannot give any insight into how it would taste.

HOW TO STORE IT

This will last in your fridge for up to 1 week in an airtight container.
